Let's talk about your project

EDS 2023 – We’re coming for you!

The Engineering Design Show (EDS) returns to The Coventry Building Society Arena on the 11th – 12th of October 2023 and we’ll be holding court again on stand H42.

EDS is *the* engineering show of the year and has been showcasing the very best of mechanical, electronics and embedded design since 2012. It’s a magnet for engineers looking to catch up on latest innovations, product launches and to access services.

As well as a plethora of stands to visit, attendees have free access to seminar sessions running across three conference theatres and two workshop theatres. This year there is 30+ sessions jam-packed full of the latest design innovation, education and inspiration… And we’ll be hosting two of them!

The Spectrum Next Journey – The Evolution of Retro Gaming

We are over the moon to announce that one of our favourite client projects in recent years, Spectrum Next will be speaking on Wednesday 11th October, in seminar room 2 at 12.30pm.

The charismatic Henrique Olifiers, game designer and the co-founder of Bossa Studios will take you on a journey, through the trials, tribulations and triumphs of taking the Spectrum Next from an online chatroom discussion, to a reality.

From inception, to funding, development, setbacks, the war in Ukraine and everything else in between, this is a unique insight into what it takes to not only deliver such an ambitious project, but absolutely smash it.

This promises to be an amazing session for fans of retro gaming, electronic design… and frankly anyone with an interest in funding their own Kickstarter project.

Disruptive diverse dynamic – empowering exceptional engineering

This seminar takes place at 12.30pm on Thursday 12th October. In the session Paul Miles, Director at Big Red Recruitment will be discussing how diversifying your talent pool can exponentially improve not just productivity but culture, retention and recruitment.

It’s been estimated that up to 30-40% of individuals in the engineering industry may be neurodiverse, so we’ll also discuss what employers can be doing to be more neurodivergent friendly.

Neale Mighall (our very own Marketing Guru) will then touch upon Ignys’ recent move from an ‘equality’ business model to an ‘equity’ one. The drivers, the journey and the results.

This session is for any leader looking to get the most out of their engineering team.

How to get involved…

Both seminars are free to attend, you can register your place at EDS using this link.
